Pedal mod complete - Spacers are done!
I posted this before the crash and several people were interested..
I finally got them from my machinist today..
For those of you who don't know what this is, its a modification to allow you to heal/toe down shift easier....
This is a specialy machined piece that will prevent the cable from flexing and possible breaking like some have had happened....
We decided to go head and machine it out of aluminum..
The spacer length (not including the smaller portion that aligns the spacer) is 1" and is easily trimmed down with a small hack saw for individual taste...
Here is before/after pics of what the pedal mod does.
Edit-
Pedal spacers are now available through Modular Depot. They will be posted in the catalog shortly. Until then either contact Gene via PM or call us at 513.554.1777.

and lastly one of the slit......
On making the slit we tried to make it as large as possible to get the cable in it easily without making it to large....

Here is our plastic "test mule" we made up......
I used it on my car for quite a while with no problem...
We switched to aluminum because it was an easier material to get closer tolerance.....
I removed it from my car for him to take the measurments off of it and I must say I absolutely can't stand to drive my car now, I wish I had done this mod a long time ago....
Here is the pictures of the test mule and how it goes on the cable.

Once again, PM me for all the details the cost is not much at all...
You don't have to use a zip tie with this although one will be included for "security" purposed....
Thanks again to Ken for permission to post this!

That is good stuff. I did this a while ago ( much more low budget than that) but had the same problem everybody else had. I broke the cable.
To bad I broke the cable racing a damn Barracuda at the drag strip and lost with a 13.9 to a 13.7. I would have crushed him had the cable not snapped
It looks like you have got it perfect.

I won't list a price in the thread but I will say this, it is almost = to what a person would spend doing it the low budget way...

I did this mod a while back and haven't had any problems yet. But you machined part looks a billion times more professional than my cheap ass nylon spacer.
Your selling them correct?

I ended up making mine 3/4 ". Is that size easily done with your aluminum ones?
Just list the price! Ken won't get mad. If you still won't list the price.... you send me a PM with the price and details.
Thanks, Ralph

I'll keep it to PM's unless he posts otherwise......
Its aluminum so using a hack saw or any type of metal saw will cut it easily...
On a side note, I am going to do a test fit tomorrow to make 100% for sure he got everything right before I start accepting payments for them..
Also I will post a write up/installation instructions in this thread when I take pics tomorrow.

With the Bullit pedals is this still a problem? I heard that when you get the entire throttle pedal assembly that it corrects a little more the height of the pedal. I'm still very interested as I haven't purchased the Bullit pedals yet but it was on my list for this very purpose.
Nice piece BTW.
Thanks,
Royce M
P.S. Just PM'd you
