Intercooler/Nitrous Q's

I recently had my 96 GT tuned with the Vortech S trim, and it made 409rwhp. It's a non-intercooled kit with basically all the bolt ons, stock heads, stock cams, stock intake.

My coolant temps are always great, but man does the blower itself generate some HEAT and some high inlet air temps.

I was considering a few options, and wanted to get some opinions on here from people who may have done it. I was considering a front mount intercooler (air to air) setup as the first option. I'm not under the illusion that I'm going to pick up power by bolting on an intercooler, but what I would be after is more consistent temps for street driving. Would the car have to be re-tuned with just bolting on the intercooler?

The other option I considered is running a small 50 shot dry kit, with like a 7# hobbs switch to spray until the car hits 7 pounds of boost and shut off. This would bring tip-in inlet temps down, as well as bring the car into boost a little harder which would be nice considering how laggy a centrifugal blower can be with 3.55's.

What do you guys think? I'm leaning towards the intercooler, but I'm not convinced it's the right choice yet.
