View Full Version : Cobra R2K Carbon Fiber hood ready

Cobra R 2000 FHE hood.
Unit weighs 24lbs as expected. That’s 24lbs of the stock hoods.
Hood comes with the usual NPI stuff. Full functional hood with removable underside panel.
As I know were crossing towards ricer appearance here, the hood can be fully painted. Unit has a reinforced under latch for stock locking mechanism.
To cold and crappy at the moment to put the hood on the vehicle.
I was thinking of painting most the hood but leaving some CF strips open for apperence.


Dial up beware these have not been sized down to allow for detail.

I was about to do that but wanted the Big A$$ pictures to allow for quality viewing, or your viewing enjoyment :)

So I am guessing it has a steel frame or some sturdy reinforcments in it? I was figureing it would be lighter.

We can get them lighter but you have to figure we want to maintain a level of reliability and durity. I 14lb version should be out in a few months but retail I heard was looking like 1100.00 each. Weight is pretty much just determind by the level or amount of resin one wants to include in teh product.
The fiberglass units are 32lbs. This hood as well has a top and bottom just like OEM. Its just not a top shell.
I'll get some underhood shots at somepoint. I'm trying to get the specs fromt eh engineer right now.

Thanks for the info but since you are saying "we" it sounds like this is your company. Which makes this advertising. My fiberglass Cobra R weighs 12lbs. but that is a lift off hood.
