Apten Results!!! 500+ SAE!!!

hey guys , just wanted to let everyone know the Apten was a HUGE success!!! for anyone who doesnt know , my previous mods were 2.93 pulley, diablo chip, 9" K&N filter, and magnaflow catback. with those mods i dynoed a best of 452 rwhp and 463 rwtq STD which converted to 438 rwhp and 449 rwtq. all my dynos and work are done at Mustang Magic. great shop with a bunch of great guys. very professional and helpful. they always have the parts that you need . one stop shopping!! :thumb:

my new mods are an Apten , 2.75 RR pulley and Prochamber. when i called brian at Apten , he asked me if i wanted him to try something new on my blower , as somewhat of a test. he wasnt sure if it was going to better the results from previous tests, but i said go for it.

anyway here are the results, keep in mind , this is with a mail order chip from rick @ A.R. and i have stock manifolds , stock t/b, stock everything. ;)
my only mods now are Apten , 2.75 RR , magnaflow catback, prochamber, and K&N. thats it!!!!!

i dynoed a best of 514.3 rwhp and 493.8 rwtq STD and 500.6 rwhp and 480.2 rwtq!!!!

now here is the surprise and the killer!!! i dont know if brian made this thing so efficient that its flowing a rediculous amount of air now or what , but these dyno #'s came from a peak of only 14 lbs of boost!!!!! thats starting to get into KB territory. not only that , but the 14 lbs of boost holds all the way till redline with no drop off what so ever!!

needless to say , i couldnt be happier!!!! all i need now is a 10 sec timeslip to frame with my dyno sheet!! ;) j/k wish me luck!! :headbang:

One question how much heat is the blower generating now?

What were/are the intake temps?

Have you looked into anything to keep the temps down?

i actually didnt measure the temps. i assume that the temps are down due to the blower flowing the air much easier. but im not sure. i let the car cool down for about an hour before pulling it. i always let it cool down about the same amount of time every time i dyno , so i have a good reference. i might get a new H/E in the future , but not sure yet. i was actually surprised that my power #'s only droped from 515 to 508 within about 7 pulls, with a 5 min. cool down between each run.

Wow only a 7 hp drop with a small cooldown...Looks like the Apton is really doing its job...

You still have the stock cooler as well?

If I only wasnt saving for a house I would have just bought an 03...Oh well the 06 Cobras will be here soon!

What was your Air Fuel on those runs?

yea i still have the stock cooler. the a/f was a little on the lean side but not bad until i pegged the meter at about 6200 and it spiked to 12.4.

buy the house!! its alot more important!! :cheers:
