I have 99 Superduty 5.4 with only 48000 miles on it and have notice my pass side head gasket leaking and found out Ford meesed up the makeing of the heads and or block causeing gasket leaks.I called Ford and they said they wont fix anything sence it is out of warranty,they addmit to the prob but still wont help me.Now I get to replace the motor because the head and block is scard.Anyone else have this prob?

its a common problem. we do @1 a week, by replacing wth an updated head kit. also Ford has come out wth a special "service fix" head gasket only that is thicker than stock.
wait till you go and try to change the spark plugs and find out that most of the windsor engines(1999/2000) are cross-threaded from the factory :eek2:

Methinks its time for P&P PI heads w/ aftermarket cams and a supercharger.

I would press this issue. This happened on my truck a 99 f150 5.4l. I would press the dealership or ask ford for mediation. The bill for having mine done at the dealership was 2100.00. Mine was covered under warranty.
