Is anyone running the HPM Panhard & Lower Control Arms?
1. First off what is the differences in the Panhard Kits?
a. Light Duty
b. Medium Duty
c. Severe Duty
2. What lowers would you run?
I am wanting to autox my car with the occasion trip to the 1/4 mile. What would you suggest from the above? I am looking to order pretty quick. Please let me know!

HP Motorsport has built some serious track cars so they must have a pretty good idea of what works but here is my take on the Panhard bar they sell. It uses a support rod that anchors in at one of the gas tank strap bolts. In the event that this were to break loose I would have serios concerns for my gas tank. If it were me, my first choice would be to use Maximum Motorsports parts.

I concur. A PHB is subject to pretty serious loads. The MM PHB is proven in competition.
As far as control arms, what kind of bushings to they use? For a autox car, you need to use spherical bearings. Unles they have a LCA with bearings on both ends, get something else. The only HP arms I've ever seen have poly ends. These will bind and suck. Once again, MM is a good alternative, that is a proven combination.

Personally I would consider all of the HPM kits to be "light duty". If you were to ever run an R compound tire, you will easily over stress the HPM mounting points.
I am currently running the full MM package with Pan hard and torque arm and to me, that is the only way to go. I am also using the MM lower arms with the spherical ends on the axle end and the poly ends in the torque boxes. If you are just going with the PHB and not the torque arm, i would recommend getting some of the double adjustable uppers from Grannetelli. They will provide a much more compliant range of motion and prevent "some" of the binding.
When it comes to these rear suspension items, you get what you pay for and yes the MM stuff is expensive but IT WORKS.
Keep in mind if you do the torque arm, you will also need stiffer rear springs and you must take into account your front setup as well. If you take away the over steer situation by hooking up the rear, the front of the car could possibly do a 180 and start pushing like a truck. Do pay attention to mis matching front and rear setups as each manufacturer designs their systems around a unique roll center.
this is not a MM advertisement but I have their setup and it works great. At my AX events, I was running street tires and hanging with C5 vettes and some Z06's. The only cars that were running away from me were on R compounds........but I now have about 50 more rwhp, Hoosiers and Brembos. I hope to be with or in front of the "fast" guys this year.
