I just saw this on Reichard Racing's website. They claim it can add 1-3 psi and is available for most applications.
Is this thing for real? Most of the companies products are worthwhile, I'm just curious as to how good this works...

Since the same volume of air will be flowing through a smaller opening, I assume it would increase velocity and psi at the exit point of the ring. However, since the air volume does not increase, downstream psi and velocity would remain unchanged. Bottom line, I can't see it is any different than a Spiralmax.

I talked to Jim Reichard about this item for a bit. It allows an even larger intake tube and basically smooths the transition of air flow into the volute. Much like a turbo unit would do.
Does it work? I don't know but I don't believe they are that expensive. I'd be happy to buy one and test it as soon as my motor is up. Only problem is that there currently isn't one to fit a Paxton. Just Vortech for now. He's working on it.

Thanks for the insight Ed. So is it a 5" inlet then I wonder? I might be willing to try it too. I've got the right equipment. :)

Anyone ever do any testing with this thing?

I was like WTF when this post came back up. :) If I get the extra money when the car comes together I still plan on buying one but it wont be for some time still.
