What does everyone use to was up their cars. I used to be a die hard Meguires fan until I tried out the Zaino on the Fiance car and couldn't believe the shine it gave off, I am only going to be using zaino products for know on.:headbang:

I use clearkote products. Their website is www.clearkote.com

Their stuff is awsome. I use their hand glaze, moose wax and vanilla wax. It does take alot of this stuff to do a whole car and it comes off real easy.

I used Zaino all last season with excellent results. I will be switching over to Meguiar's NXT this upcoming season. Full synthetic polymer, easy to work with, and is great for darker cars. From what I have seen, the depth is as good if not better than Zaino, and it is much better for removing swirl marks and spider webs.

I use the 3M stuff. Works very well for me, although silver is not the hardest to keep looking good. I was using Meguiars Gold Class, but it didnt seem to last that long.

What do you use for windows? I am anal about the windows when I clean my car. I have tried a lot of stuff, but the best I have found is Gunk, and even it still leaves some swirlies. Is there anything better?

Cool. Just might have to order some. Have you tried any of their other products, like the tire foam?

I use their rubber care - I have found it to be the best for removing build up on the black trim pieces....it can actually make them look like new again. Worked great on the SHO, good on the '91. I use it on the '00 as a preventitive measure.

I definitely noticed a difference from the Mother's to Zaino.....and the new Meguiar's is even better if you can believe that. We're going to be doing a detailing session over the summer with our local CT club...should be a great event.

I use the Stoner glass cleaner that you see advertised in the back of many magazines. That and newspaper - no streaks. You can buy it at a bunch of stores, including AutoZone.

It is scheduled for over the summer....I am not sure if it is a LMMC-CT public or private event at this point, I'd have to check.

Here is a link for the entire new line : http://www.meguiars.com/whatsnew/nxt_home.cfm

It is getting rave reviews from guys that take detailing a lot more serious than even I do.

That being said, before I saw this stuff I was a diehard Zaino nut....the difference I saw in my car with it was amazing....however my car is getting a Dawn bath before Nashville.....

And I don't think anyone has the upper Zaino hand on SilverStallion....if I can convince him about the Meguiars I think the earth will stop rotating :)

I actually found all the info on their site.

Dawn was one of my questions. I was wondering if Dawn will still take it off?? So that I could touch up some spots with Langka.

I know all about your club, went to one of the SN cruises at Hooters right before you guys started it up. Looks like a nice club, but just a little too far for me to journey. Definitely coming together nicely for you guys.

Pinnacle Paste Glaz...goes on like butter and comes off very easily. I have the 3 stage pearl white from the factory...Also, use the Paint conditioner every 2 months. As for glass cleaner, i use an aerosol general purpose cleaner called KELSEN made in Knoxville, TN. I used to go to UT..one of my friends who worked on the farm near campus snagged me a case. Meguirs black trim cleaner for the exterior trim, Turtle Wax rubbing compound for the headlights, Meguirs plastic polish for the taillights, and Mother Plastic protectant for the interior.

I hate debates like this and rarely respond as wax is like religion and politics in the brainless emotional responses some people make regarding their preferences. If you are going to make bold claims than back it up with some pics and a reasoning for your claim. With the proper prep work done before hand there is no reason you can't get a show car finish with plain old turtle wax.

I have tried a lot of products from many manufacturers and probably have enough inventory to supply every detailing shop within 100 miles of my house. I happen to prefer Meguiars. Here are a couple of links to pics of my car, more can be found at the webshots link in my sig. Make up your mind for yourself.

I agree. My wax works well for me and my paint job, but there are alot of great waxes out there, Mothers, Meguirs, Zaino, and Zymol. I like mine because of its ease of use and the results i get on my paint. Its also made locally, and i like to support Florida based small time businesses. I find that cheap-o Turtle Wax polishing compound workswell on my wheel finish.

The 'stang looks great.
