Got the water pump in and wired. FYI, it requires a shorter belt if you are running underdrive pullies. The rest of the day was spent putting the car back together. Hope to have this project finished tonight.

After that, I still have to cut the rear springs and get an alignement.

Putting the dash back in:

Replacement for radios and heater controls. This will eventually hold larger gauges and be painted.

I'm getting very accustomed to seeing Brandon in those pics. Is this his new side job? "The Butcher's Car Clinic" or something like that? Looking good boys........

While you guys had the dash out are their alot of metal support braces behind the dash? I helped hack a dash from a 95 and there were a few large supports that really weren't needed once the heavy stuff (AC controls, fan motor, airbags, radio) were removed the shell.

Bill,

It wasn't too bad, so I decided to leave them.

Was there a large tubular brace on the passenger side? There was one particular brace in the 95 that weighed about 8lbs alone and wasn't really needed to support anything but the airbag.

no it just has a small frame that supports the airbag, there is some weight to be had from the bracing but as Ken stated we just left it alone for now.

Looks like you guys have kept the look of a street car also. It really dosn't look like a hack job.
