Anyone know the length of F150 driveshafts? Is the super crew one longer? I am looking for a replacement in my 97 Tbird that has egged it's shaft and I need something with some muscle about it. I am trying to avoid having a custom one built if possible.
Thanks,

Why not go for a mark 8 drive shaft, or even better, or one of the metal matrix ones from Denis Rheinhart, either one will fit and is better than the birds. I can't remember what year to use for the Mark VIII off hand, but it is on the board somewhere.

Don't get anything except a true 93 Mark shaft. Its a single piece aluminum. But generally, by the time you get a Mark shaft and get it shipped/balanced/whatever it needs, its right around the same cost as a MMX shaft from Dennis.

I agree about the 93 Mark shaft, or MMX shaft. I would have to wonder about a pickup truck shaft - particularly its diameter and whether it would fit through the tunnel in the gas tank. Those shafts are long, and one thing you can do to make a longer shaft stiffer is increase diameter.

Well....
Yeah my F150 has a shaft that is 6" in diameter, that would be a tight fit if it fit at all.

No shit...
My '98 F150 driveshaft is huge, and is really long as well..it would likely not fit in the tunnel as Dan and KD said.
