how much of a perforamce boost can you see from this? Do you need a chip first?? I have the steeda CAI, 70mm TB and plenum, highflow xpipe and side exhaust.

Actually, this IS a chip... or a flasher, whichever you'd prefer. For a mildly modified combo, it's tough to say what you'd see as an increase, maybe 10-20 RWHP. The stock EEC is not optimized for performance.

on an 02GT, it's hard to say how much of a gain. I personally wouldn't expect anything huge with a newer GT. Typically you get 8-18RWHP with somthing that stock. I picked up 9RWHP on a brand spakning new 03GT last week. Other times I have picked up 15RWHP or a bit more on 01-03 GT's. The factory timing curve is a little more agressive on GTs than it is on everything else.

so the reasons you would want it (besides the power) would be for the ability to calibrate for gears, improve shifting (if you have an auto), turn off MIL's, and tweak a few other performance things.
