well in somewhat of a spontanious ordeal, it looks as if I will be driving to New York tonight in a ryder truck. My destination is actually Rochester, NY. I plan on arriving in the city approximatly 5-6pm tomorrow. We well be leaving NY headed back to St. Louis on Sunday sometime before noon.

If anyone is on the way, perhaps my fiancée and I can stop by and meet. I'll check this once before I leave (in about 2 hours), and If I stay at a hotel with a lan or good phone jack I may log back in friday evening on the road.

well the trip got posponed.

I have a guy in NY that wants to buy 15 of my rack cabinets, but he needs them asap. I tried today to work out delivery, but it coulnd't be done. Finally he decided to just compensate me for delivering them. We had everything worked out, except he didn't have anyone in the rodchester office to take them on saturday or sunday. Since it was such short notice, we couldn't pull it off.

If he dosen't pay to have them freighted monday, I will most likley make the trip next weekend. It's a pretty long haul @ 14 hours each way, but it's not that bad.

So for now, I'm at home <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmile.gif" BORDER="0">

well, Rochester is no where near me, if you ever come down by the NJ/NYC area let us know.

What kind of racks are you talking about, home theater kind or something like the industrial kind for equipment?

They were Network Server cabinets/racks. One of my sources of extra income is purchasing off lease or damaged network equipment, repairing it, and reselling it. I just got a storage garage full of 20 of these things, and I'm dying to unload them. So when some ISP called me from NY begging to buy my cabinets, I was thrilled to death. Now all we have to do is figure out how to get them there. If shipping is over $1400 for all 15 of these, he is just going to pay me that amount to drive them up there.

Now that I realize how close NY is, I may try to attend carlisle. It will just depend on how much work I have when it comes around.

Here's what they look like

He he he... not that much of an audio guy. Used to have some nice Klipsch gear and some yamaha amps... they are gone now, replaced with some super cheezy stuff....

Well I am 99% sure that I am driving to rochester NY tomorrow afternoon. It will be a one-way trip, and I'll be flying back monday morning. It also looks like there isn't enough time to stop at a motel and sleep. I may just drive it non-stop.

So I'll be offline till monday afternoon.
Wish me luck!

Well, I am back. And I haven't had a wink of sleep since saturday. I drove non-stop to rochester, and did it in just under 15 hours. Was a real bummer because I ended up having to drive a 24' box truck. The 15' truck I Rented did not fit all the cabinets.

Bummer Jerry, I drove right through that area!!!

I'm signing off for a few hours to get some sleep!!!!!!
