A bit back we had a private discussion and it really came to light for a few of us how much we appreciate this forum, and also how expensive it is to maintain.
A few of us decided to take up a totally unoffical, un sanctioned collection to raise a little bit of money to help out with the fixed costs of running this forum (there is a monthly fee of approximatley $40 for the hosting and board software that Brian has been covering himself)
While there is no way Brian could ever make a living wage doing all the work it takes to maintain this site for us, there is no reason we, the users, can't share in the expenses of maintaining this place where we can have frank, open discussions and the kind of interaction that is different from the other sites we frequent on the Web.
Let me stress this is totally unoffical and unsanctioned. Brian didn't know anything about this until I posted it, and did not ask for it in any way. It is not required to view these forums and is on a "as you wish" basis.
If anyone else is interested in contributing, Dennis Reinhart is collecting the money via Credit Card. He can be reached at <A HREF="http://www.reinhartautomotive.com/" TARGET="_blank">http://www.reinhartautomotive.com/</a> or 904-276-5003.
There is no required amount, but we suggest a minimum of $25, as Dennis is running this on his credit card machine.
