I Tried to post this in the exhaust Forum, however I saw no provision for downloading sound files. Well anyway, This is an EXHAUST Post,Sorry.

I believe with the tuned ear, you can tell which exhaust will produce the most power, without breaking windows,(these will be Dyno Worthy) & thats the Main issue with me, POWER!
If You Make it Cute, and with Gimmicks, you get a Frilly Backpressure Jiffy-Pop-Special. More power from an exhaust system is still, Not Rocket Science,(Simply match the Air coming IN, with the Air going Out!) Make it too quiet and you will end up with a measurable Power Loss, More Power always has a direct coefficient with power,(Remember a Little Thing called Headers), make it Cute and Gimmicky, and you will end up with a Needless Money Loss!

Let's post our Exhaust-Sounds, Share-Notes!, and see How we sound. I Enjoy hearing the 32V- Four Cammers, with a good exhaust upgrade!, I think we all do!! HERE IS MINE!! MRDAN7

That sounds like Flowmasters, with a 2.5 inch h-pipe.
Are you running cats. It is kinda hard to tell, it sounds like you dont have cats.

Anyway sounds good.

Big Bill, Yes You're Right, Good-Call, 2 Stage Flowmasters, No-Cats, 2.5" with large H-Pipe.Do you think it is Too loud? Let me know.

I found this system was never too loud, for me, & is even un-noticable until you jump on it, It Produces Real Measurable Power,Without-EXCESSIVE-BACK-PRESSURE,(LISTEN CAREFULLY!!to sound file) & is Economical to install, I got 28.2 MPG on the E-Way with 3:73 gears on a STOCK TRANS, w/AC on! My son ran a 13.64 E/T with this car,(Naturally) (I know how My set-up works.)
Flows got a bad-rap with Mark-VIII owners because of improper location, wrong application, as well as not solving the balancing of the exhaust pulse cycle properly,(I built 3 systems before settling on this one) then again I am NOT a salesperson, However I do have an Engineering Background in Reasearch & Developement, specifically for Racing App's.
Some of the things I read about Mark-VIII's make me Really Laugh, because the statements have no merit tech-wise. Maybe thats why I came to this Forum, I believe the Real Guys are Still Out There, and I sense a Tech-Check-Attitude here!
P.S. I put this,(One pictured) my 1st 1993 Mark V-III together in 8 Months, with stuff in my garage, using Basic Old & New school tecniques,(in 1997) along with some very qualified helpers. Just Recently, (Last Month) I bought another 1993, for my youngest son and will help him, make something special if he will allow it.(He Has The Bug) I documented everything, with tests, and Real Numbers, as I MUST HAVE REAL TEST-DATA, NOT-HYPE!!! These are Special Cars, and I for One have alot more to learn about them. In My Spare Time!
