I figured i would post here as i have a mkviii hope its ok. Just found this board this morning through a post on LOD. I wondered where all the good folks went. I did not know this existed but I sure am glad I found it. I really like the format. I hope I can contribute something over here because I'm sure I will be here everyday. Talk at you later.

Wow you have low miles. I bought my 93 with 19K miles in july of 2000, but since I have ran the meter up to almost 55K. I actually bought another car to drive because I hated putting so many miles on it. Did you buy your new, or just find a low mile deal?

Like you, I have both a Mark VIII and T-Bird; both are '96. I just got the Mark back from the body shop, and now that the weather is getting warmer here, (N. CA.), I plan on putting a bunch of time into both cars, ('still have to install the suspension kit I won in a TCCoA raffle into the T-Bird).

Anyway, it's really good to see this forum. Even if I don't post a lot, I'll be looking at the messages - it's obvious there's really great info here!

Thanks Brian for the welcome. Bought my mk. in aug. of 99 w 10742 miles from my neighbor. Did the Jerry mod to the tranny at 15000 along with exhaust . Thanks JW and TCcoA. This is my second car which explains the low miles. Looks like you have the people that know whats going on here,this is what I have been looking for. Even with all its problems I really love this car.
