Just curious of who actually launches on the limiter? If you dont what do you normally launch at?
By launching on the limiter do you think it hurts you because the rev limiter is cutting your fuel???
Thanks,

I usually lauch @ about 5000. This Sunday @ Mustang Drag Day 6 I will be launching @ 6000! :headbang:
BTW heres a cool video of a stang off the limiter its the red one bottom right. Also the second gear wheelie hop is good.

I bog when launching at 6000. 5500 RPM works like a champ.

I generally launch on the limiter the problem is that you don't have the momentum of the flywheel going for you. If you could time it right where your RPM's are climbing and just about at the limiter before dumping the clutch without actually hitting it you will get a better launch instead of just holding it to the mat. Also even though the car is cutting off fuel the car still seems to load up so if you sit on the limiter too long the car will just bog bad. For consistency in a bracket race I launch on the limiter for ET I try to get it as close as possible to 6K.

About 5200 and I still get tons of wheelspin on my ET streets with 10.5psi. I think its the pressure that is hurting me. Going to drop to 9.5-10 next time out and break something.

I launch on the Limiter when I Bracket race it work well. Bill the next time out I might fool around with leaving at 6000 to see if it helps. Did you notice a big differance when leaving at 6000?

No such thing as a big difference on my car. Everything I do only changes things by a few hundredths. At Columbus the car was launching better when leaving with the RPMs climbing instead of on the limiter.
