I'm getting closer and closer. It will happen soon without a doubt judging by a few of the slips I got tonight. I had a tough time getting back into my groove launching on the slicks. The first four launches I made were all followed by really bad bogging. My first launch was funny! It had been so long since I launched so hard on the slicks, I got pushed back far enough into my seat that I could just barely reach my steering wheel and pedals!! Forgot to adjust the seat! :D

It was pretty much around 1700-1800' DA all night. I got a new best trap of 104.99 and 105.32 on the slicks. Previous best was 103.85 in Orlando in April.

I started with redline launches on the first two, a 5800 RPM (just short of bouncing off the rev limiter basically) 3rd launch, and a 5000 RPM 4th launch. The 4th launch was TERRIBLE.. I think I actually got my foot off of the gas for a split second during launch, too.. DOH! The 5th launch was at 5500 RPM and it was perfect. I followed up by launching at 5500 RPM the rest of the night and you can see my 60' times and ETs.

I can't believe I haven't run a 13.0 since Bradenton on May 4th. I haven't gotten a 1.6 60' since July 9th. And I've NEVER run 1.6's as consistently as I did at the end of the night tonight!

Here's tonight's runs (I missed 4th gear on the last run):

And my previous best(s) (all 13.0's) on the slicks (don't have weather data on a lot of my old slips):

I dunno about the correction on that 13.057 run. The weather that day was crazy HOT but I somehow think that correction is WAY off. DA that day was around 2500' and the temp was about 91 degrees.

I'm hoping for better weather on Saturday night, which is a slicks only night at the track.

Damn...you are right there! I think with some decent air, you're easily in the 12's! Good luck Saturday night!

I've been "right there" for a long time now. I'm finally picking up where I left off in May. :(

Don't sweat it. You've made some major changes to your setup, and that was you first outing with the slicks in a while. Gotta get back into the swing of things. ;) I'm sure you'll get there this weekend. :thumb:
It took me almost 4 months of hitting the track on a regular basis to beat my previous best after my LT swap...but I'm kinda on the special side. :banghead: Be thankful you don't have my skills. Good Luck Dave!!!

If he had 1200-1500 DA last night he would have made an 12 second pass. It feels nicer outside lately but air pressure has been dropping and humidity stays high.
