Guys still trying to find a replacement clutch and aluminum flywheel....
With all these issues with spec poping up I'm kinda weary to go with them...
so I ask is there a benefit to go up to a 11" clutch versus a 10.5"?
and also once again reccomendations on brand?

Disadvantage of the 11 incher : More rotating mass and no real performance clutches other than the Spec units and the expensive Centerforce units

Advantages of the 11 incher : A little more area to hold the power, but 1/2 inch I still don't know the real gain.

If you go with the 10.5 you have to change the flywheel. But the choices are endless. The D&D clutch kit is toted as the best to offer so far. My opinion.

I thought my clutch was a 10.5"?? thats what D&D Told me when I ordered my flywheel because it has the dowel holes in it for 10.5" and 11"??

I run a D&D McLeod Kevlar 11' clutch setup. Best setup I ever put in the car. the aftermarket billit flywheel from D&D has dowels for 10 & 11. I have that flywheel.

The 11" has ~10% more surface area than a 10.5" based on the formula for an area of a circle, a=pi * R2.

Also, D&D offers a SHD 11" Modular clutch kit for $299.

Is it billet steel like mine?
I'm thinking of switching to an aluminum one, also how "streetable" is that clutch?

yes i have the billet steel. its very streetable no chatter at all. you just have to run a 11' pressure plate.

You have a 99 GT. Duh. I am stupid. Wasn't even looking at that, I was thinking of the 01 and up cars. You do have 10.5 inch clutch. I would stay with that.

In 01 half way through they switched to the 3650 trans and with that came an 11 inch clutch.

You all list 11" clutches disadvantageous because of heaver rotating mass....
Will an 11" clutch with a ALUMINUM flywheel be lighter than stock? and lighter than my
10.5" clutch with the billet STEEL flywheel that is heavier than stock?

If it is then I am no worried one bit about rotational mass. :) the one I got is heavy, to heavy in my opinion...
