Ok, I've got a friend in a GT absolutely talking trash to me and another 96 Cobra. Tell me what I need to beat him.
GT 2001
H-pipe and Cat-back
Slicks
Stock Gears
Dyno: 218hp/260tq before exhuast
*NOTE: Has run a middle 13 before
Cobra 1996
K&N drop in
4.10's
MM Lower Control Arms
FRPP Uppers
Nitto Drag Radials
Dyno: 261hp/264tq
Is this enough to beat him? I thought about adding a C&L MAF system (MAF Meter and True Inlet Pipe, claims 280 at the wheels) just to make sure.
We are racing at a quarter mile track. Late October.

well, considering the Cobra has 43 more hp it shouldent take much more than good driving.

If you don't win (given equal traction) I would be surprised.

Ok to give a lil more info on this.. the GT Nathan is referring to is Ua2k1GT from over on Stangnet. His is an 01 AUTOMATIC that has ran 13.66@100mph before. This was done in about 55° weather. The predicted weather for the day we are all going is about 65°. In the same weather I ran a 13.8@101 in spinning badly, this GT has been running 14.1-14.0's.
Nathan, I think will be able to take Lee without a problem, but then again Lee is getting those E/T Streets. Traction will not be a problem for him and the power level he has. His car really is a factory freak!

wait wait wait, lets get things straight :)
First, Nathan, I'm talking trash in a friendly manner, please don't take offense to it.
Secondly, I don't have a cat-back, just welded in mufflers
:-p
The 218 rwhp was dynoed in 2nd gear, my 13.66, 13.68, 13.69 and 13.7s the next weekend were on stock gatorbacks not the slicks. Only mods at the time were the magnaflows and a k&n.
My 14.0s were over the summer, whereas last summer i was running 14.3s or so. My car loves the cooler weather and the pro chamber has knocked about 2/10ths off my ET, so I'm hoping for 13.5 - 13.6 again.
oh, and I do plan on going after that trader MachLSone and that T/A of his :hammer:
