Hey all. I was wondering if I would be ok using my AWSF-22C plugs on a 100 shot. They are 1 step colder plugs, so these should suffice correct?

Just making sure because I don't feel like swapping plugs again!

Thanks.

I've used a 1 step colder plug many times for a 100 shot. I just recently went to a 2 step colder plug, which in my car the plug finely burns like it should. With the TR-6 plugs I used to use my plugs would always be very lean, no matter what octane or timing i used. Even on the motor the plugs were always lean. I went to a Awsf12c plug that Randy Recommended, and it worked great Thanksgiving weekend.

Glad to hear... I ran NGK BR7EFs (two steps colder) last time spraying a 150 shot without problems. I'm just lazy and don't want to change the plugs out if my ASWF-22Cs will work just as good. Thanks for the reply.

I use 1 step colder with my 100 shot and no trouble . I had 2 step colder plugs in and it just seemed like the car ran like shit .

I'm still running my 2 step colder plug and It runs great on motor. I even Dynoed the car with them and the Air/Fuel was perfect at 13:1.

I've run AWSFA12C, AWSF22C, and NGK TR6s on a 100 shot and was pretty happy with all three. I also ran all three on the street without any problems.

I stuck with the 12C plugs because even they didn't look too cold.

Joe, Do you keep the same plug gap when you drive it on the street as you do running Nitrous?Or do you switch out the plugs when driven on the street?

I run the autolite 103's with a 150 shot, any more and you need to step us quick to the AR94's (93's even)...;)

Jason--I've been leaving them in at 0.032 with the 150 shot. Surprisingly, no problems, even with the 12s.

I quit running the 12's a couple of months ago and went to Iridium IT 22's to eliminate a misfire problem I was having aroun 7600 rpm. Seemed to have worked. I never had any problems with the 12's below 7000 rpm, however. And they are cheap.

Joe, I like the 12's So much better thne the NGk plugs I tried. I Haven't had a lean condition yet with the 12's where as the Ngk's where always lean on my car. No matter what I gapped them at.

I agree that the 12's seem to be fine in most cars. I'm just pleasantly surprised. I don't know if the 2 valve motors are any different from the 4 valve as far as plug selection goes.

I currently have mine gapped at .048... Guess i'm gonna have to pull them anyway. How do I go about closing the gap?

I would just lightly tap them on a hard surface and then you can regap them to your preferance.

If they are to old I'd just replace them.
