How much better are these over MM full lengths? How hard is the install?

Those look pretty beefy, but I am looking at these from pro3i.

THe nice thing about the "through-the-floor" types is that they tie directly into the main hoop of the roll bar. You obviously have to cut through the floor boards of your car to weld them in. Not that big of a deal but it takes time. I don't have a real reason why I chose the MM full lengths compared to these. I guess I was in a rush to finish my car.

These are very nice pieces and I say if you are building a car to race, these are the subframes to get. I'm happy with my full lengths and doubt they will ever be a weak link though. Im getting a roll bar this winter and don't plan to do any changing in this department.

Those don't look all that great honestly man. You could spend your money more wisely with a set of MM full length they are awesome. I am adding the Wolfe threw the floor to my car this winter, replacing a set of in my opinion inferior designed peice of junk subframe connectors. LOL.

Does anybody have pics of the through the floor SFCs installed? How much cutting is involved? My friend is an awesome welder and I can probably get these installed for a case of beer so I am actually considering them....

Found some pics after searching CC.com...
Doesn't look too bad. Measure 20 times, cut once;) Cut small and grind a little away at a time...

I'll take these pics to my friend and see what he thinks. Maybe he can even make them from 2x3x.120 stock:dontknow:

Darren, I don't see a real reason why you couldn't make those.

WIth the through the floors, how do you keep the chassis from flexing while welding them in??
It looks like in the pic above they cut out the factory subframes all together??

have you guys seen the griggs full sub frame kit?? Those pics of the carpet pulled look like a version of the griggs kit. I had them but never got to put them in since i wasn't going to go hard core. I kept the standard griggs full length connectors though and those by themselves made an enormous difference.

That's what I did for my BB Fox car. 2"x3" 1/4" thickness, and it no longer shatters t-tops.

Here is a pic of what looks to me to be the difference of other brands vs Griggs. I had them installed last winter and don't regret it one bit. It took many many hours but it was all worth it.

I tried to edit the post above but I missed my 2 minute window, so pardon me for double post.
Here is a better pic, and a link to the rest of the SFC pics.
