Did any of you catch the latest Motor Trend magazine's new car listings? They said the new GT was going to be a 310 horsepower 4v aluminum block aka current Mach 1.

Same magazine has a Mach 1 auto that ran a 13.8 with traction problems. Said a Bullitt was quicker through the slalom because the iron block 2v has a lower C.G. than an aluminum 4v.

As discussed in the old database the 2v future may be looking a little bleak.:(

As long as we are all here the 2V performance will be alive.

Til my wife lets me get a Cobra....

Which begs the question - how heavy is an ironblock 4.6 w/4v heads?

I'd say between 75-80lbs heavier than an aluminum Cobra motor.

i have read up on that 3v head before. it seems cool. but why bring a new thing out so soon. ford knows there isnt crap for that much of 2v parts. i should have bought a 5.0!:nono:
