I guess I can officially post here now that I own an '03 F150 with the 5.4. Can anybody tell me if I got any goodies in the long block ie. forged parts. This is just a long shot question as I'm sure I have the lovely hyperucraptic pistons and cast rods...

Forged crank I think is common with all non SVT 5.4's.....along with cast pistons and powder metal rods.

Thanks for the reply, I was wondering if that motor could survive some mods while daily driven. I guess the Eaton blower is a no-no :( .

I think you can put on a blower as long as you don't get stupid. I know Vortech and KenneBell sell a lot of kits for these motors and have very few failures if it's done right.
You need to remember, if you cut costs when putting a blower on, you may as well save for a re-build. You'll need a new MAF, injectors, pump and a good tune on it and I think you'll be fine.
But, if you get greedy with boost, as most Mustang guys do, you will pay the price. I think 8psi it would live with no issues...
