Yesterday I went to Autozone and rented a pickle fork to remove the spindle mount( I dont know what its actually called) from the a arm. Darren did his the same way I tried but its not coming off and ripeed the boot a little. Do I have the right tool?:dontknow:

Yes you do. Sometimes the boot rips, can't save it sometimes. Keep whackin'.

:thumb:, Thanks bro I will keep hitting then. I wanted to make sure Darren wasnt trying to ruin the 2v:headbang: The kmember will be down in about 20 min.

Well the good news is the old kmember (weighed 50lbs) is out and the QA1 (weighed 21lbs.) is in. I tightened all the header bolts when the old one got pulled. Tomorrow I will trim the stock a arms a bit to get them in.

The bad news is I couldnt get the stupid spindle off the a arms. The only reason I am trying to get them off is because I am installing the 3" studs for the skinnies. I was told that I should drill it out a little then press them in. I destroyed one of the boots and it still never budged:scratch: :dontknow:

I dont know what to tell you man. I did mine that way and they popped right off. Go buy some PB Blaster at Autozone (the stuff Kevs always preachin about on our board). That makes WD40 seem like Loc-tite. Flood it w/ PB and let it sit for 15min or so and go at it again.

Did Charles pimp the Mach1 tonight again? I'm getting ready for bed as I type.

Here's the pic...Too bad Starkie AND myself already told you what to do. I think the problem is with the mechanic!!:D

Guys am I hammering this in the right spot? I have beat it to death and its not budging. Maybe use a sledge instead of that little thing:scratch:

One way to do it is to have someone hold the spindle, and just whack the top of the balljoint with a hammer. It should just pop out.

However, that dinky claw hammer won't have enough power...you need a 2lb sledge.

I started about 30 min ago and used alot of that PB Blaster and have a 5lb. sledge. I have beat the crap out of that stupid pickle fork. I even tried hitting the balljoint down and its not budging:mad: Its getting to the point where I am throwing tools all over the garage. What am I doing wrong:dontknow: Please help!
