I got a the 5171 NOS dry shot a month after getting my 98 cobra. I heard all about puddling and even seen a few grenaded intakes.
Now after this winters rebuild, I am going to step it up and here great things about NX, but other than HP ratings for the jets being RWHP, what makes this and the GEN2(?) upgrades so hot?
I was really interested in the kit with twin shark nozzles that is adjustable up to 300hp.
Thanks Modular Depot

Well besides the point that it makes gobs of torque over the other brands , it is made much better ! When I got my nitrous kit I was going to get the ZEX kit but everyone at the speed shop told me to compar the differnt kits . Thay put a ZEX, NOS, and NX side by side and when I picked up the solanoids you could fell the difference ! The NX stuff made the other brands look like junk . The price of the NX kit is good allso . As far as blowing the intake if you get a rpm window switch you will never have any trouble :thumb:

For that big of a shot you need to go direct port.
The GenX 2 kit is a pretty good deal, it comes with auto bottle heater, bottle gauge, purge, blow down tube, and FPSS.
email me if you want some prices for nx vmperf@bellsouth.net

I like the NX kit, but, to be honest, I've never really looked at anything else. A year and a half ago, when I was asking lots of questions, the consensus was that the NX kits were good. After about 60 passes with both a stock and built engines, I have to agree, the NX stuff is good. But you have to know what you are doing, and not get greedy. I only ran 100 hp with the stock engine, but will eventually run 200 hp shot on my forged motor.

When I bought my dry shot I went straight to the 150, and have done so after putting roughly 40k on the motor in a year and a half.(and made 430 RWTQ) I wasn't going to shoot more than 200, and unfortunatly for me, I have bought most of the accessories(i.e. bottle heater and blanket, pressure gauge, msd window switch, purge) anyways...
It sounds like the way to go, does anyone know if the direct port with everything contained in the fule rails, fit on the 99 cobra intake?

I have seen a couple of GT's make serious tourque with the Compucar kit(seen Doug Johnson's car at a Ford chip tune make like 492) I just thought it had to do with their built motors?
Thanks for all the info
