SCMC is having their Fall Drag Day event November 8th at Carolina Dragway in Jackson, SC. This is about 20 minutes south of Augusta and is a very good track. Weather in November is usually cool and the track is well prepared. $35 if you are a member of SCMC or SVTOA Atlanta, $40 otherwise as long as you pre-register. $50 at the gate. Here's a link to the registration forms if you're interested in going. http://www.svtcobraclub.com/svtbbs2/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4860

Anybody from Atlanta going? I may try to go. It will be a good chance to try out my new tranny and 8 rib set-up. It this a 1/4 mile track? What are the available classes?

There are at least 5 people from SVTOA-Atlanta going and probably more. We will meet at the Cracker Barrel on 138(?) in Conyers and convoy over. Usually there are 3-4 cars that go together. You can get in on the Convoy by following this thread: http://www.svtoa-atlanta.org/phpBB2/upload/showthread.php?s=&threadid=733

It is a very good 1/4 track. Classes are run what you brung. Normally, they do trophies for Eliminations (dial-in: small cash award) and closest to certain times. e.g. 14 sec, 13 sec, etc.

Mainly it's just a good time and you have plenty of time to test stuff and play. ;) IIRC, Higgins has been there in the past with their car. Last one had the True Blue turbo car there too.

Just want to keep this near the top for any of you that might want to go. Pre-registration ends on the 2nd of November, and it's $50 at the gate. So get those registrations in now if you're going and save yourself a couple of bucks!

I'm not going to be able to go. There was a delay in getting my new valves, so my car won't be ready.

Sorry to hear that Jim. I was looking forward to seeing your beast run! Maybe you can make the spring one. :D

I definitely want to make it to the track one more time before it gets too cold. I want to see what she'll do with the new tranny, valves, and 8 rib set-up. Maybe some of the Atlanta crowd can head down to Reynolds in a couple of weeks.

Heh...we're always looking for an excuse to do just that. Let me know when you're ready to head down and I will post it up. Try to give me a couple of days forewarning though... :thumb:

Just ran a few numbers through the DA Calculator, and if all holds true, the DA should be between 83 and 343 ft for Saturday!!!

Can we say Ooh BABY???? I thought we could! ;)
