What are some of our options as far as cams go? I have heard some people say the use of Navigator cams, I believe it was Navigator intake and cobra exhaust, or maybe vise versa. How much are some of the custom cams going for and is VT developing any?

VT has no cams for 4V's
Comp Has no cams for 4V's
Your choices are ModMax and Crane (Regrinds) or send yours off and get them reground. The problem with regrinds is the center lobe could come back off. Where does it leave you then, back to spending the major cash on some more stock cams.

We have grinds, but they have yet to be tested. We won't sell what we haven't tested. We're hoping for early new year. Sorry for the delay guys.

These guys offer alot of options, and have alot of track experience with all different combinations of components, giv'm a call. REALLY nice quality stuff, and REALLY good service/support, but you do have to pay a little higher price sometimes.

Scott-
Is there going to be a grind compatible with the stock valvetrain for a street/strip setup? Considering the only thing that works for aftermarket valve spring are the double spring SHM pieces (MONDO expensive for a street set up!!!!!)
Still sittin' on the fence as far as the 4v/2v thing! :chairshot

screw the navigator cams...
I am putting the FR500 cam kit in the rebuild engine for the red car i have. I got the kit for $1277 which was a bargin for what you get. I will have that engine on the road soon. I have heard nothing but good things about those cams. After looking around I felt that the FR500 cam kit was the best thing going. Once I recieved it my opinion stayed the same.

Well I think it(fr500kit) comes with valves and basically the entire valve train, does it include seals too?
I think the Mod-max cams go for 1550.00 for billet N/a cams.
not sure what all that includes though...
Fr500 looks like a pretty good deal comparatively.

Dennis, did you go with the HP Billets or the FR500 cams in your new motor? Are you about to get that thing tuned yet?

I am getting my cams from Comp Cams, I already have the specs
Patriot heads will be doing the head work since they are real close to me. They will be doing the valve job, installing Ferrera valves , their custom springs,Port and Polish and flow each individual cylinder
