I bought a 2000 red Ford F-150 yesterday. It had the factory alarm ( the way that if its armed and you open the door the alarm goes off. Well anyways the that same day i went out to eat( theres a security guy outside also) well when i got out the stuck a screw diver in the passenger side door and popped the lock which caused it to unluck but they bypassed the alarm( im sure i set it) and took some stuff. Thank God they couldnt start it though. What should i buy to protect my veichle I already have a club is there a good alarm out there for F-150's thats reliable thx for your time guys Adam

You might wanna check your local dealership, they have steel plates they can mount behind the door handles to prevent the screwdriver trick.

You might also check into Viper alarm systems. I've had mine for about a year now and love it. Good stuff there.

Yeah i saw the viper, but instead i got the code alarm a lil cheaper (it was upgraded since they were out of the older model) PC 4300 the only thing is i wish they had put the red light on the dash instead of between the steering wheel column where it can be seen on both sides of the veichle, you can only see it in the drivers. So far so good on the alarm I just want to move up the sensitivity so that it will chirp when you tap it to let people know i have an alarm. Oh and about the frame on the door i had to replace it from the dealer they dont sell the steel plates they said you have to get that like through a 3rd party. Well thx for all the help I feel alot more at ease now Flash
