Generally how many miles can you get out of a NItto DR 315/35r17? Daily ride car, track not to often (unfortunatley).
not sure, but i know youcan get a lot more out of the nittos than you can from bfg's

My 275/40/17" Nitto D/R's don't hook up worth a piss at the track, but I love them on the street. I would say that with "normal" driving you could see maybe 8-10,000 miles. I have 2,000 on my set and they are getting low (2/10 ths), but I have made over 75 passes (some with big ass burn-outs) at the track.
[IMO] Don't get the 315's if you are using a stock rim, and if you drag more than drive, get a 15' BFG D/R or just go all out and run E/T Drags.
Hope that helps

My last set of nittos(275/40/17) lasted me about 17k miles. I have the 315/35/17's now and they do hook better than the 275's did. The trick to making the nittos last is running low tire pressure like 20-22psi because they will start to wear quick in the center if you run too high of a pressure.

I love my Nitto's in the rain, they are the best tire I have ever ran in the rain (even with only 2/10 ths tread) I belive this to be because of the soft compound and good rain channels. Just my opinion.

When they were new they were way better than the stock Goodyears...
When they were worn...I hit the gas and the car went sideways...
I was at 50 mph in 5th gear...
Ill drive my Honda in the Rain!

Instant Horsepower, just add water. ;)
I think I'd drive the Honda too.
Bottom line. I think the Nittos are great for the street, they get better traction than a regular street tire and last a hell of allot longer than the BFG's But........ I think there are better choices for the track.
