Would this work on my 1996 Cobra or would it be beneficial at all? Its a single blade compared to my dual 52mm. I know the upper intake would have to be modified for it to work, just wasnt sure if it would be worth using or not.
Thanks
Scott

I would think so. I'm putting a '97 Cobra intake on my mark 8. I've been told that all my stuff will fit except EGR, and i have to turn the throttle body upside-down so the throttle cables fit. But i don't think the Mark 8 TB is a single blade. I should have a better answer tomorrow, i'm starting the swap tonight.

My .02 Don't bother with a single blade unless your boosted with some serious airflow.
However, the Tb's I have are all dual blade, and I have 2 of them from different Mk8's.
I'm switching to a cobra, heh.

Looked at the MK8 last night. Apperently the early models were dual blade just like the cobra. Except these opened in a different direction.. opening from the inside out. Its hard to explain, would have to get a pic. On the 97+ MK8's though I think they have single blade. This one with the dual blade was on a '93 DOHC.

The 93 - 96 Mark TBs are much smaller than the Cobras. And they have a totally different linkage setup since they are progressive. One bore opens until half throttle then the other with a quicker open with both fully opened at the same time.
The linkage is on the top or long side of the TB with the ball right in the middle. This is pulled by a cable but with the old carb style hookup. Where as you know the Cobra's linkage is at the end, sort side and uses a cable to rotate the shaft.
Last time I looked at a 97 TB which I'm pretty sure it was stock it had the dual throttle blades just like the Cobra but was positioned upside down like the Lightnings.

Yeah I have a 98 intake, and the TB opening has 2-bore shaped ports. So I assumed the 97-98 was also a dual bore. Guess I was right!
