After going out last night (on the street tires again) and being rather disappointed with my ETs, I came home and compared a lot of my recent slips in MyETs. I sure felt a lot better after really letting it sink in that my car runs quite a bit off when I run as little as a tenth off of my better 60' times.

Just to illustrate..

2.0 60' short times
R/T0.6620.7950.6160.5780.7430.6740.55060'2.0762.0562 .0662.0812.0822.0682.057330'5.7740.0005.7525.8075. 8365.8055.7671/8 mile8.7868.7508.7468.8618.8778.8428.7951/8 mile trap80.76081.29081.03079.99080.38080.39080.4601000 '11.38211.36411.33311.47611.48711.44811.4001/4 mile13.57113.56913.52313.67713.69513.64613.5981/4 mile trap105.620100.800103.790103.410102.970103.510103. 430

1.9 60' short times:
R/T0.6210.6780.7100.76960'1.9911.9271.9621.968330'5. 6295.5855.6105.6211/8 mile8.6088.5838.5978.6101/8 mile trap81.72081.43081.24081.3301000'11.18011.17911.18 511.1901/4 mile13.34913.36013.37613.3771/4 mile trap106.390101.050101.430103.910

So yeah except for the 60' times, I'm pretty damn consistent on street tires. :stickpoke

Most of these 2.0 runs were from last night, and a few from the previous couple of weeks. The 1.9's are the most recent runs as well as a couple from on my old T-45. A lot of those 2.0's were run on the same night as some of the 1.9's up there.

Time to bolt on the slicks this week. We'll see what we can pump out then. At least I'll be able to have more consistent 60' times on the sticky rubber!!! 12s? *crosses fingers*

You easily hit the 12's on slick, I bet you could run a 12.8's or close to on slicks.

I generally run .4 seconds quicker on slicks over DOT's.

Was the weather the same?

what did you do different on that 106mph run?

think that jump was just from a slip in 60ft, or was it different shift points or something?

Hey Kurgan, I hope that 12 is finally in your grasp man. I've been reading up on the wrench time you've put in and it's well deserved.

The 105-106 mph traps were on the old T-45. All of the 101-104 traps are on the TKO with the long tubes. There's a little more of a powertrain loss first because the tranny is still new, second because it hasn't fully loosened up, and third because of the mass of the gears in the TKO. They are larger and heavier than the T-45 gears.

I'm just NOW getting to the point with the TKO that I'm starting to powershift.

I had a whole night of 106 mph traps the very LAST night that I dragged my car on the T-45 (when the 3rd gear pretty much had its last stand)..

gotcha. i was thinking that all those runs were from the same night.

is the TKO any tougher to shift?

At first yes.

Now that it's loosened up, I like the way it shifts MUCH better than the T-45!

Gate pattern is shorter and tighter.
