I headed back to the track last week and ran a bit better, but I can't cut under a 2.0 60ft, it is getting annoying. The only mods on the car as of now is...... BBK Off Road X-Pipe, Flowmaster 2 Chambered Mufflers, ASP Underdrive Pullies, Home Made 90* Elbow into the Fender with the DarkWolf Mod, and a off the shelf Jet Chip. I have stock 3.27 Gears and it is so much harder to launch than the old 4.10's, this motor make NO low end TQ, it is so hard to get it going without blowing the tires away or bogging hard. I have Nitto 555R at 20PSI and I can't hook that well, my best 60ft 2.088, I used to cut 1.8's all day long with 4.10's, I REALLY want back into the 13's the way the car is now. I have my old TA, 4.10's and headers in my garage, but I would like to do it now with very small mods, any help would be appreciated.

His was a 98GT....non-pi. From what Ive seen, 96 isn't too bad I don't think.

I think if I can cut a 1.9x or better I could dip back into the 13's, very high 13's, it feels so weird just sitting in 3rd gear all the way through the traps. Hehe.

Why did you take the gears out? I forget.

He got a whole 'nother rear put in the car.

That reminds me of the days when my car had the stock motor. Put the gears back in her and you'll be in the 13's.

Yea, when I blew my motor this winter, I bought a new motor with 30k, a new rear, and a new tranny. Since my rear had almost 80k on it at the time, i decided to just replace it with the new one, when I picked up my car it had 3.27 in it, I asked the Ford dealer why, and they said I would have to pay another 400 to swap the gears too, I was so PISSED.

launching on the stock gears in a 96-98 sucks. with my 2.73s the best 60 I could cut was in the low 2.2s.

your times are looking good though., the best i ever did pre-headswap was a 14.45@96.6
that was all stock except for a k&n, steeda t/a, mac catalytic h-pipe, and flowmaster weld-ins.
