I just went to the track tonight and I got to run a 2003 M3 four times tonight, he is a friend of mine and also a customer of mine from work...he's a really cool guy and our cars are really close in et's so that makes it really fun...anyway my new best is 8.48 @80.77 and a 60ft of 1.87 with still a lot of spinning but this time I took the rpms up to 1500 and stabbed it when the lights dropped...and one final note a friend of mine got one of the c and l plennums and picked up about 3mph and a couple of tenths so I know that thing works...He ran a 7.93 @88.01mph a new record best...His car is an 01 gt automatic with a vortec and 2800stall...thanks guys I just had to spread the news...THEO

I know all the things I need to do like lighter hood, tubular k member, lower control arms... to lighten the car a improve traction and such but has anyone done anything cool and cheap to help traction? like an air bag in the rr spring? anything to get me down to a 1.7 60 ft without spinding 1000 dollars I am open to suggestions...Thanks Theo...

my last run tonight I took the rpms up to 1500 etc and the car spun then grabbed hard so I know the 60 can improve but I am stoked about how good the car ran tonight...

Its funny you say that blu96 cuz my friend has a cuda with the same bolt pattern but their 29's and it would kill my gear, I really want to have it hook with the drag radials I'm thinking 4.30's...The hell with spinning...lets spin more....:D :D :D

I have a set of '76 dodge cop car wheels with 26x10 et drags and my car runs really good with them but I have a 5 speed. thats cool that you are running an auto. 29s are way to tall you would need 4.30-4.56 to pull those things!! a set of 26s would be perfect.

One you might want to look into www.bristolmotorspeedway.com
its only about 130 miles from you and thats were I usually go..
Nice 1/4 track but its elevation is a little hight 1475ft...
Last time I there the density altitude was 3151ft....
Matter of fact I'm planning on going this tues and thurs nights its supposed to be excellent weather for racing, the density altitude should be around 800ft :headbang: and its the last nights the track will be open....
If you interested in meeting up PM me!

ToyGT02 -
I bought a set of X2C Motorsports UCAs and LCAs for $139 total shipped to my door.
They are not pretty like Maximum Motorsports ones, but they supposedly will do the job.
Unfortunately I have been to lazy to install them or have them installed.
Good luck,
Howard

00whitegtvert that seems like a killer deal...please let me know how they work once you get them on...
Blu96 the track is okay, I heard the owner just died during the last hurricane last month, and I think the track prep is a little lacking now, but it is a nice track otherwise I wish it was 1/4...
BCH-SLP thanks....

Will do.
I'll surely post.
I hear they are noisy (clunks, thunks,etc..) so I have debated putting them on and just getting BFG DRs and see how that works by itself. $139 is not too much of a hit to take.

He runs on 275-40-17 BFG DR's.
Theo, you should ask Trent how he got the tires to work best. He cut a 1.59 60' on these tires in his car. Maybe he knows a little secret or 2?

if your not already doing it, floor the car from dead idle to flash the convertor. this is how you'll get the most stall from your convertor, and the best 60's assuming you can hook.
as was mentioned, a set of 26" stickys will also go a long way toward getting the 60' down.

1/4 mile? Im hoping to run 13.20 we'll see...
I tried flashing the converter from an idle and the best was from about 1500? I think track prep would help a lot...Theo
