holy cow!

That thing almost looks like it has a stock hood (minus the little hump in the middle). Kinda looks like an Eaton S/C. If you look up front you can see two large intercoolers that probably feed from the inlets in the hood. Very Very NEAT! Odd that there are intercoolers before the supercharger. I wonder if there's some sort of air/water intercooler under that supercharger? Unless it is a whipple, in which case it probably wouldn't need one.

I remember there being talk of some prototype air/water intercooled Mark VIII's that never hit the streets.

That is legit. I think I mentioned a while back on the
LOD that I worked on some supercharged 4V Marks back
in like 1993. They were built for Tasca at that time.
So, I am sure that's one of them. Actually a place
called Watson Engineering built the car. But, Ford
supplied a lot of the parts and pieces and we did all
the control system work on them. It has an air to
water intercooler under the blower and all kinds of
cool stuff.

I would kind of enjoy seeing him own it. The Lies would start spewing right away, plus he'll never get his mail order Diablo chips to work at all, he'd have to totally start over and go back to 1 EEC, 8 injectors, 1 MAF, etc, to even begin to get anywhere. Of course there's a down side to that, then there would be the inevitable story about how he did that and it makes so much more power now with "his program" in it.

Were you talking to me? If so, no I don't think it is any more special than any other modified Mark. By todays standards it's a total hack job. Going to 1 EEC, 8 Injectors, etc, would be the right thing to do. And I'd wager he'll try to do that. And he'll never make it run right. He may claim he did, but HE never will, HE can't even tune an NA car.

I’m with Sandy on this. There are lots of other cars out there to f___ with, leave this 1 alone. It’s a keeper as it is and he’s laid out some decent cash for it. Every thing he f___s with will devalue the car a bit at a time, it’s worth more and will continue to be worth more if it’s left alone. Besides it’s reported to be putting out about 400hp which today is nothing for an SC’d Mark in truth.

You guys sure do a lot of bashing here if this is typical. This is the first post I have read. I had heard there was a new board and some people had said it was so great because there weren't all the problems that the LOD has. I'm not sure I can buy into that. Why not just congradulate Geno on being the successful bidder (he got the car!) and leave the bashing to people who drive ricer rides. I'm going to read some more posts now and see what kind of a place this is. Hopefully this post is the exception and not the rule.
