that jackass is also trying to sell timing advance kits that gain 20HP.

Truth is, if he is tapping into the power wire for the fan, he could be in real trouble. Those Mark VIII fans can draw over 80 amps at startup, and if his wiring is too thin it could be a fire hazard. Not to mention that running that fan without the car running will drain the battery VERY quickly.

I sent him a nice e-mail about it too <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmile.gif" BORDER="0">

You notice that he has the same two BS things listed for just about every car on the market?

He is just selling switches and resistors basically. The switch will tap into a wire and send a signal to the computer to turn on the fan, works good. The second just sets a set resistance that shows a low air intake temp that advances the time and may cause a lean condition in some newer cars as I understand. It would work good on EEC IV cars from the way I see it since they run rich at WOT. If he actually sends info on what wires to tap and the wiring and switch or resistor I give him credit... It would take a long time to look up the wiring schematics for all these cars. Of course you can do both of these yourself if you understand the basics.

That's ridiculous. did you guys see when there was a guy selling fenders and trunk lids and stuff, advertised as being for a "car"?

The car was really a plastic model, but he took the pictures fuzzy enough that you couldn't tell. No idea what happened, last I heard there was nothing anyone could do because it was legit and he hadn't lied on the ads....
