OK, Jerry, what's the point of the adjustable fuel pressure regulators. If your fuel delivery system is in good shape, and you're running one of your chips or a custom programming, I can't see how goofing with fuel pressure is going to make things better.
Your input, as always, is greatly appreciated.

On a stock, non blown motor, you are correct. There is absoultly nothing to be gained. In fact, the EEC will know it's running too rich or lean (depending if you have raised or lowered fuel pressure) and compensate for it. So, there is no benefit what-so-ever.
So, why do they exist, aside from the people wanting to look cool?
When you need to run huge fuel flow fuel pumps, in a situation like Dennis's, the stock regulator cannot return enough fuel back to the tank and the fuel pressure will raise up, but only at low injector flows. The restriction is in the regulator not in the return line, so a better regulator allows you to return more fuel back to the tank to keep the fuel pressure drop across the injector constant at 40 psi.
