What is the fastest STOCK motor supercharged 2v GT. Maybe with a bullitt intake and full bolt ons. (ie- no blower cams)- Boyfriend wants to know. (auto or 5 speed-not necessarily stock transmission)

well, Ed Olin(EDO) went 11.70's @120 back in 1997 wth a stocker. Vortech, plastic intake, T-45 & D/R's, he had some "funny" cams and off the shelf Ford parts but he was flying way back then...hmmmm, thats twice Ed's name has be mentioned here tonight, might have to "drag"(no pun) his ass over here ?

Not me but its in the sig
Ahh forgot about the board melting down. I ran a 7.70@91.04 w/a 1.65 60' in the 1/8 And at another track a 12.54@110 or 111 w/a 1.75 60' in the 1/4

I'm sure I'm not the fastest, but I've run 11.79@117 on a Novi 1000 which is about 20 percent smaller than an S Trim. The valve covers were never off my motor. Mainly the blower, exhaust, gears an DOT tires. Car is a 99GT 5 speed.

My friends 2001 GT automatic with a vortech sq a 2800 stall and 3.73's and he ran a 12.6 @109 with jack, spare, and 3/4 tank of gas, on an 85 degree day definitely not the fastest gt but still a low 12 sec car with a little weight reduction and a cooler day...:usa:

depending on your defintion of "stock" Ed Hicks regularly runs 10.60-10.70's on a stock crank(non-cobra) and stock PI cams(svo heads). Jim Fitzgerald ran a 11.05 a couple weeks a ago on a Novi 2000 2V(ported PI heads). Both run automatics. Are ported heads considered "stock"??
Tell your boyfriend that the F-bodies don't have a chance...that should answer his question;)

didn't Mike Murillo go mid or high 10's back in '99 or so with a blower and nitrous on a stock longblock '99 GT?
I think it was his girlfriends car. It was deep into the 11's at Spring Break shootout (i think) on the blower alone and then he sprayed it into the 10's.
pissed off FFW officials something fierce because he didn't even have a rollbar. Evan J Smith wrote a column on it in MM&FF if I remember correctly.

I was wondering what kind of potential the GT's had with stock internals meaning stock heads, stock cams, stock bottom end. Bullitt intakes, longtubes, massive stalls, clutches, gears, suspension, etc is all things that I was not worried about. Just curious, because I am contemplating selling my car. Probably not going to get another project car right away, but wanted to see what I would be able to get without going internals on a GT. Anyone else blown with stock internals want to let us in on what you run?

I'll let you know next week what I run at two different tracks. Indy Raceway Park where track prep sucks and then at BG World Finals.
Stock longblock, SQ-trim, 5spd, 4.10s, and somewhat drag suspended

You'll go low 12s easy with some good launches Craig. Beech Bend track prep rules, especially for big races.

I hope so! :D I definately expect to pick up a tenth or two just in the 60ft at Beech Bend. I've experienced before on my old car with ET Streets. Gained a tenth in 60ft. I'm just going to IRP to get accustomed to the power level with slicks. Never driven anything with this power at the track.
I'll be thrilled with low 12s, weight reduction might take me to the 11s. My car isn't much lighter than factory for the time being. But that is in the near future.
Thanks Daniel, see ya in BG.
