Got the car in November and ran it until June before I had a bearing failure which in turn broke a rod and cracked the crank. So, I tore the motor down and sent the block and heads to the machine shop. It's a 1985 GT, factory sunroof car.

My best pass was a 10.01@138mph with a 1.31 60' off the footbrake.

The new motor will be the same block (no damage to the block, THANK GOD) bored 60 over. Total cubic inches will be 415.

Manley 4340 H-beam rods, Lunati 4340 Pro Series crank, custom Diamond forged coated pistons (15.5:1CR), heads had more port/polish work (flow #'s from the flow bench are 332cfm@700 lift), Comp Cams triple valve springs, Comp Cams 3/8 chromemoly push rods, splayed 4 bolt main caps, everything balanced and blueprinted...as well as a few other goodies and tweaks.

The goal for the new set up will be 9.4-9.5's N/A. I also just my new hood in today. It's a 4" windshield cowl from HO Fibertrends. The car weighs 2655lbs with me in it. I am looking to shed a few pounds with Lexan in the hatch and rear 1/4 windows.

Anyhoo, here are the pics...
