Anything special needed when pulling the engine?
I'm going to be doing this soon & want to know all the "Gotchas" before I start. :thumb:

Whats all done to your mach. Was it the rod that let go that trashed the piston or vice-versa? When my 99 Cobra(WAS NOT tuned by MD) stock bottom end let go with the D1-sc. It was from detonation and it took out the number 8 piston. Nothing else happened to anything else. I was very lucky! Since then every one of my cars has been tuned by MD.

Looking at the crank etc..

Engine hoist and good friends
That's the truth. My friend and I pulled the engine on his 01 Cobra to replace a blown engine, then pulled his 03 Mach 1 engine and are in the process of swapping in a stroked and poked fully built bad boy. I didn't know a ton about cars and still am no expert buy I learned so much and feel way more confident about starting any car project. You just run into problem after problem but just keep figuring out what to do or ask for help on the forums and it will be done in no time. :banghead2
